DPM: Harapan, rakyat should address weaknesses of administration

Pakatan Harapan leaders and the people have been reminded to keep on improving weaknesses in the administration of the country to give true meaning to their election victory, says Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
She said towards this end, the country needed to rebuild through the foundation of true democracy and Malaysians have the joint right and responsibility to build the nation.
“The victory has given us the freedom. We have changed the government and expectations are very high.
"We have become the body and soul but there is intellect element to differentiate us from others. Intellect is important for us to free humans from the clutches of men against men,” she said when speaking in a Santai Sahur session at the UEFA Champions League Final programme by Pandan Youth Movement in Kuala Lumpur last night.
In the event, about 300 Liverpool and Real Madrid supporters had gathered to watch the match beamed from NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine at 2.45am.
Dr Wan Azizah, who is Pandan MP also touched on the roles of the younger generation as the future leaders to continue the leadership of the country in future.
Taking football as an example, Dr Wan Azizah who is also Women and Family Development Ministry said the people should know how sports could bring colours to life as well as the importance of team spirit, and how it could help create awareness and direction in life.
Like a football match, there will be winners and losers, so Dr Wan Azizah reminded
supporters to appreciate human values and not to be too fanatical over a win or loss as it is the outcome of any competition.
"Watch and support but do not go overboard. It is important to instil human values, team spirit and in victory or loss, be gentleman,” she said.
