Kayveas: MyPPP did not endorse Loga's BN candidacy in Segambut

GE14 | MyPPP president M Kayveas, who was left without a seat in the 14th general election, said his vice-president Loga Bala Mohan's decision to contest in Segambut under the BN banner was without the party's endorsement.
Kayveas had lobbied heart for the Cameron Highlandsparliamentary seat but it was confirmed today that the seat would be retained by MIC.
Kayveas was instead offered the parliamentary seat of Segambut, which he had rejected and even suggested that he could take MyPPP out of BN.
"I will not stop or forbid anyone from MyPPP to contest in Segambut and it is apparent that Loga is interested.
"I will not say anything, it is up to him. But it is not my decision or the decision of the party," he was quoted as saying by the news portal Malaysia Gazette.
Kayveas was sceptical that MyPPP can win in Segambut.
"If the Segambut seat had been given to us earlier on, we would have spent our resources there instead of in Cameron Highlands.
"What can we do (in Segambut) in such a short period of time especially when it is a stronghold of our opponent," he was quoted as saying.

Federal Territories BN today confirmed that Loga will be fielded in Segambut.
Meanwhile, MIC confirmed that it will contest in Cameron Highlands, leaving Kayveas without a seat. -Mkini
