The people of Kelantan must be thankful and vote for BN, as a sign of gratitude (tanda bersyukur) to Allah, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says.
This is because, even though Kelantan has been under PAS rule for 28 years, the federal BN government has never shirked their responsibility to the state.
"We are not grateful to Allah if we do not thank the one that gives.
"I wish to remind myself and those present, it is enough that for 28-years that Allah gave them (PAS) the opportunity and responsibility, this is when we take back Kelantan under Umno and BN.
"Come residents of Tendong, Pasir Mas, and Kelantanese, be thankful to the ones who gave, be thankful to Umno and BN as a sign of gratitude to Allah," Zahid said today.
He was speaking at a meeting with the public in Tendong, Pasir Mas.
During the event, Zahid approved RM500,000 in aid for single mothers and the elderly; RM4 million to renovate and repair the Bunut Susu Mosque; as well as approving the construction of 647 homes and the repair of 1,230 homes in Pasir Mas.
Zahid said that while the people of Kelantan are free to choose who they want in government after parliament is dissolved, he hoped that they would vote for those who have given them aid.
He said he could feel the winds of change in the state.
"The winds of change are blowing strong... but I wish to reiterate there is no need to demonise or belittle others, but to talk about our own (strengths)," he added.- Mkini
