PAS conducts thanksgiving event at disputed Amanah HQ in Kelantan

The brother of the late Kelantan menteri besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, Nik Razi, led a thanksgiving prayers for a congregation of PAS supporters, outside the Wisma Tok Guru in Kota Bharu, tonight.
About 1,000 PAS supporters turned up at the venue, as early as 6.30pm, to attend the session to celebrate the party's "victory" in gaining ownership of the land housing the building.
As the space at the compound of the building was limited, the organiser had also arranged the participants to conduct their prayers by the roadside.
Also present at the prayers session was state Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob and his deputy Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, as well as other party exco members and division leaders.
PAS also hoisted a giant party flag in front of the disputed building, as a sign of victory in getting back the land, before the prayer session started.
Earlier today, a High Court in Kota Bharu rejected Salor assemblyperson Husam Musa’s injunction application against an eviction order to vacate the land which houses Wisma Tok Guru, the Amanah headquarters in the Kelantan capital.

Wisma Tok Guru also serves as the site for Husam's office, and sits on land belonging to his predecessor in the Salor state seat, the late Ahmad Rosli Ibrahim.
Judicial Commissioner Ahmad Bache ruled that Husam has no locus standi to issue an injunction, because he is not the legal owner of the land.
The new owner of the land was named as Mohd Yasin Yusoff, a Kelantan PAS secretary.
Husam was ordered to pay RM7,000 in costs, despite the defendants asking for RM30,000.
An internal crisis in PAS saw Husam fired from PAS in May 2016. He subsequently joined Amanah and was elected its vice-president last April.
However, seeing as Husam was his successor, Rosli had allowed him to use the land as his service centre.
The building was christened Wisma Tok Guru by Husam as a homage to Nik Aziz.
Rosli had, before his death, rebutted the claim that Amanah had stolen PAS property, pointing out that his leasing of the land was to Husam himself, and not to the party.
PAS proceeded to purchase the land for RM700,000 from Rosli’s widow, and served Husam with an eviction order issued in her name.- Mkini
