Amanah will fight an eviction notice asking it to vacate the Wisma Tok Guru, which serves as Amanah's headquarters in Kelantan as well as Salor state assemblyperson Husam Musa's office.
Husam, who is also Amanah vice president, said the matter will be brought to court as soon as a formal notice is served.
Until the court decides, Husam said Kelantan Amanah will stay put at the building, located at the intersection of Jalan Salor-Pasir Mas and Jalan Tendong-Mulong in Kota Baru.
Husam also raised procedural issues, pointing out that the instruction to vacate was conveyed to him instead of Amanah.
"The notice is directed to whom, why give it to me? I don't live there, it's Kelantan Amanah's place," he said during a dialogue session in Kota Baru last night.
The land on which Kelantan Amanah’s headquarters sits had come under the spotlight after Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, PAS' Meranti state assemblyperson, claimed it belonged to the PAS-led Kelantan government.
However, Ahmad Rosli Ibrahim, a maverick Kelantan Umno leader with friendly ties to Husam, later revealed he had purchased the land in his wife's name Haripah Dollah.
Ahmad Rosli, who is also the former Salor state assemblyperson, said he had granted permission for the land to be used as the Salor state assemblyperson's office as a favour to Husam and not PAS.
However, Ahmad Rosli passed away in July, leaving the fate of Wisma Tok Guru in limbo.- Mkini
