If the police do not charge comedian Sulaiman Yassin aka Mat Over (for assaulting film director David Teo), then it simply confirms that there is definitely no law and order in this country.
Odin Tajué: The character in sunglasses, have beer guts, and pointing his finger, is a perfect representation of the Malay aristocratic class - possessing regal bearing, exuding charisma, and exhibiting finesse.
I would assume that he was Major (Rtd) Razali Zakaria. The working class, coarse film director of a Chinaman must kneel down in front of him and beg for a thousand forgiveness. Live on the TV. An Umno Baru-controlled one, of course.

Wake Up: Indeed, why should one apologise to all Malaysians whenever a group of people threatened to protest against something. If an apology is really needed, it should be between those involved.
Why involve people who are not related to the incident or represent a particular group.
Gerard Lourdesamy: Firstly, why was this mob (Gerakan Memertabatkan Pejuang Negara or GMPN) allowed to assemble contrary to the notice provisions in the Peaceful Assembly Act?
Secondly, issuing public threats amounts to criminal intimidation, which is a crime. Thirdly, Teo did not insult or offend the PM but rather he questioned the moderator of the Transformasi Nasional 2050 event.
Fourthly, it is a crime to slap a person simply because you disagree with him. Lastly, Malays are not above the law just because they are Umno members and supporters.
Are we a nation of laws or a nation of thugs and gangsters? If it is justified to use force and violence to teach a lesson to rude and insolent persons, then I will be the first to slap this entire rent-a-mob crowd.
Not Convinced: Here’s the moral of this story - minorities should know their place. They are to remain silent. If not, they are repeatedly threatened into submission.
Ipohcrite: Instead of advising Mat Over to apologise for his act of violence, GMPN has the gall to demand that Teo apologise publicly or face the threat of a public protest against him.
Increasingly, in Malaysia, we are having mobs running wild and threatening those who merely sought to voice their dissent peacefully against how things are governed in this country.
Having to face awkward questions is a given for politicians, more so for the prime minister.
Anonymous 759201436321741: Let me pose a hypothetical question with this scenario. It is an MCA event. And the person who was slapped for being rude is a Malay Malaysian and the person who slapped him is a life member of MCA.
He justified his action, just like Mat Over did, for insulting the MCA president. How do you think the scenario would play out and the reaction of those in authority?
Clever Voter: This is another example of a decline in the moral standards of this country. Years of successive decline in education standards have led to groups of people forgetting the basics in respect and dignity.
Such incorrigible behaviour is further supported by an impression that they literally can get away with murder, just because they support the establishment.
As rent-seekers, their livelihood depends on a few generous runners, and they will not hesitate to take the law into their own hands.
Many victims choose to avoid rather than to confront. In the final analysis, the law enforcers are to be blamed for they choose to exercise double standards.

It is timely to note at this stage that none of the parties or individuals of the opposition are advocating democracy, freedoms and egalitarianism.
In fact, going on their history and their religious and racial affiliations, you can pretty well be sure that democracy and rights and freedoms in Malaysia are dead and will stay dead.
Proarte: These Malay supremacist lackeys have no sense of fair play or justice. Teo was assaulted by a Malay and they have the gall to ask for an apology!
I am pleased that the police are regarding this as a possible criminal case and will be investigating the matter. These Malay supremacists have no moral sense and they certainly do not represent Malays.

Who is right or wrong does not matter to these alleged thugs. Do as they say or else they will make life intolerable for you. They want to be judge, jury and executioner. They only know one law, that is the law of the jungle.
PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) must monitor such groups closely before they destroy the fabric of our society. To Teo, just ignore them, the police will protect you (hopefully).
